Via Stylelist.com: Thursday night, Solange Knowles set a cool vibe as DJ at the opening of Ferragamo’s recently re-designed Fifth Avenue boutique spinning new hits like Azealia Banks’ “212″ and classics such as Wayne Wonder’s “No Letting Go.” The stylish Brooklynite was dressed in head-to-toe Ferragamo, of course, pairing bright red paints with a royal purple blazer, black and white splatter printed button down blouse and pink strappy sandals. How does Solange mix and match prints without ending up on our weekly worst-dressed list? “I think the fabrics have a lot to do with it,” she explained after finishing her set, “A lot of times, if I’m matching or clashing prints, I make sure they’re the same fabric. I’ll do silks OR cottons. It’s very rare that I’ll do silk prints with a cotton shirt. It kind of sculpturally puts it in the same uniform. It’s instinctual.”
