The Knowles sisters are having quite the fashion conundrum. Beyoncé and her baby sis, Solange, are both prepping to attend the VMAs this Sunday, and when they’re not busy rehearsing for the big show, it seems the ladies are still hustling to find just the right looks.
When it comes to fashion, Beyoncé is more glam and Solange is edgier, but that doesn’t mean they aren’t helping one another find the perfect outfit in time for the show. “We’re both, me and my sister, trying to find something to wear,” Solange told MTV News. “We’re both performing this year, which is incredible. The house just looks like one big, crazy clothing store gone wild.”
The Fug Girls may have found Solange Knowles’s newly shaved head regrettable, but the singer better known as Béyoncé’s sister talks about losing her tresses like she just got freed from kryptonite. Apparently, she breaks out the electric razor every few years, whenever she feels like her hair has become evil and grown beyond her control. “I did it once when I was 16 and again when I was 18,” she said backstage at BCBG. “I just need to kind of start over and liberate myself and feel empowered. I feel like so many women put so much of their power in their hair, and I was succumbing to that — like, spending so much time and money and energy on my hair.”

The first round of presenters for the 2009 BET Awards were unveiled Thursday. Leading the pack are Solange Knowles, Queen Latifah, and The View’s Sherri Shepherd.
According to BET, the aforementioned trio will be joined by Idris Elba (Obsessed), Taraji Henson (Curious Case of Benjamin Button), and Paula Patton, who have also snagged presenting duties.
Set for June 28, the 2009 BET Awards ceremony is expected to be one of this year’s biggest award shows with a performing roster that includes much of 2008 and 2009s most successful artists. In somewhat of an ironic reunion, Beyonce will take the stage opposite her husband Jay-Z.
